Alberta – Wolf Hunt near Yellowhead County

This outfitter has been in business for over 20 years, and he has been very successful over the years hunting the most elusive animal in North America.
This outfitter has been in business for over 20 years, and he has been very successful over the years hunting the most elusive animal in North America.

While you will be hunting from a heated blind, it will not be as easy as it may seem. Wolves are highly intelligent, have extremely good senses, and some would say they have a sixth sense. You must be patient, quiet, and be willing to stay in the blind all day if you expect to take one of these apex predators. The outfitter will only take two hunters in camp at a time for these hunts, but it is a 1×1 hunt, so each hunter will be at separate blinds and bait stations.

As already stated, the blinds are heated, and all have wall to wall carpet to help deaden any noise. The outfitter also equips each blind with a shooting bench to provide a steady shot. Due to their extreme senses and wary nature, you must be prepared to shoot out to 300 yards. A flat shooting rifle from 6MM on up will suffice. If you are flying in and would prefer to use one of the outfitters rifles, you may do so, just make arrangements with the outfitter before arrival. There may be a fee for the use of the rifle, but that will be between you and the outfitter.

This is an all-inclusive hunt, to include 1×1 guide services, meals, lodging, field prep of your trophies, as well as airport pickup and drop off at the Edmonton Airport for those that prefer to fly. Your license/tag/certificate are not included but can be purchased online before your arrival, and in Alberta, there is no limit on the number of wolves/coyotes that can be taken. After a long day in the blind, you will return to a warm, comfortable, and modern lodge with all the amenities.

This outfitter only takes out ten hunters during the season as to not over hunt the bait stations and the hunt dates will be worked out between you and the outfitter. These Canadian wolf hunts sell out fast every time we list them, with most outfitters being booked well in advance, so don’t think about this hunt for too long, or these may be booked as well.
