A grizzly bear/barren ground caribou combo hunt in the Alaska Range, North of Anchorage in Unit 16. Caribou prefer treeless tundra and mountains. The caribou season starts August 10th and ends September 30th. There are some massive bulls in the Alaska Range. They are all in the velvet at the start, hard horned by September. Although the outfitter uses an airplane to get where the caribou are at, this hunt can involve some walking. Prefer hunters that can walk on unstable ground for two to three miles a day.
Here are some particulars: $19,500 covers the hunts AND the charter flight to camp, 2 bear limit area! Fishing is also available for salmon, rainbows, dollies (the bears are fishing too!) Here is another interesting point. In Alaska you can harvest lesser “valuable” animals on a “higher” valued animal’s tags. For example, if a hunter is carrying TWO grizzly bear tags (more expensive) they can shoot two grizzly bears, or a grizzly bear and a caribou, or a grizzly bear and a black bear. Pretty neat huh? This is a true once in a lifetime hunt at an unbelievable price point! Give us a call today to reserve your spot!
